"I hope that what you will see in this website will encourage you to visit our school and eventually join us.
Choosing the right school is an important decision, whatever age your child may be. At Fosse Bank, we offer an excellent academic education, combined with a truly supportive, friendly and stimulating environment in which your child can grow and flourish. Our school has a positive ethos which celebrates success and encourages each child to be the best that they can be. Every child has their own particular skills and talents: we aim to develop the ones they know they have and to help them discover new ones.
The best way to experience the unique, friendly, family atmosphere at Fosse Bank School is to visit us and I hope to see you soon!"
Mrs Gillian Lovatt-Young, Head
Gillian Lovatt-Young was born in Ayr, Scotland and lived there until she graduated from Craigie College, the Education Faculty of the University of Strathclyde. She then taught in a British Army school in Germany for two years until her passion for Japanese art and culture led her to accept a teaching post in Tokyo, where she lived for a year.
Mrs Lovatt-Young then moved to London and taught for ten years, firstly at Garden House School, Chelsea where she became Director of Studies, and subsequently at Streatham and Clapham High School for Girls during which time she was promoted to Acting Head of the Junior Department. She became Head of Fosse Bank School, Hildenborough in September 2005 and achieved her National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in April 2006.
