Taster Days

We want your child to be happy.  Based on parental feedback, children who come for a Taster Day at Fosse Bank have a happy and positive experience.

Once you have seen Fosse Bank School, met the Head and decided to apply for a place, your child will be invited to attend a compulsory Taster Day.  On this day your child will meet the class teacher for their appropriate age group and will spend the day following the class timetable.  Although we aim to take a broad selection of pupils and your child’s academic ability will not be formally assessed, we wish to ensure that we both your child and our existing pupils will be able to learn effectively together in the classroom and whole school environment.

Pre-school children also attend a Taster Day, generally during the term preceding their third birthday, and can spend either the whole day with us or one of the morning or afternoon sessions.

Following the Taster Day we aim to notify parents as soon as possible whether or not their child is to be offered a place at Fosse Bank. In the case of over subscription we will let you know there is a waiting list and keep you informed as and when a place arises.

Our current pupils are always delighted to welcome a new face into the Fosse Bank Family and we look forward to meeting your child on their Taster Day.
